*UPDATE*
We are sad to report that on December 21, 2020, Harry passed away and on March 24, 2022, Sally passed away. Our heartfelt condolences to Fr. Brian. This staff listing will remain.
Brother and sister, Harry and Sally, were born on April 29, 2002. In September, 2007, they came to live with Fr. Brian while he was serving at Saint Theresa in Sherborn. Being pets of Fr. Brian, they have had to move around a lot, and anyone who knows cats know that is not something they are particularly fond of doing. But they like living with Fr. Brian, so they move with him.
These two furry little creatures do help Fr. Brian in his ministry. They are constantly making him laugh with their antics. They love drinking out of the faucets and being pet. Harry, in particular, enjoys laying in Fr. Brian’s lap in the chapel, while Sally’s favorite spot is either when he is lying in bed, sitting watching TV or more often, trying to get work done—if the laptop is on the lap, that is the signal for her to lay on his lap. Both definitely help to lower his stress level.
Both Harry and Sally are great alarms in the morning. They ask to be fed at 5 am, which works out great for Fr. Brian since that is the time he likes to get up and pray. They wake him up by meowing, which increases in volume until he moves. The only issue is that it does not matter to them if Father had to get up in the middle of the night for an emergency call... 5 am is feeding time no matter what!
Although on the mature side in human years—they would be about 84 years old—they still have quite a bit of kitten in them.
