Jamie was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and following a fair amount of moving around the country, her family finally settled in Baltimore, MD where she was raised from the age of 10. Following high school graduation, Jamie completed a year of college before joining the US Army where she served as a Military Police Officer and in 2013, retired as a Master Sargeant. Upon retirement, she and her husband, already parents to a 3-year old son, decided to grow their small family. While residing in Hawaii, they added 2 girls to their number. It was at this time where she took on the rewarding job of full-time mom and was an avid community volunteer. She even found the time to complete her MBA!
In 2016, her husband was reassigned to Massachusetts, bringing them to Chelmsford, where she has been ever since. Jamie has kept in step with her volunteer work while continuing to focus on the raising of her children—now ages 11, 7 and 5—whose company she greatly enjoys. She has been a parishioner of St. John since 2017, where she shares her deepening faith with her children. After a lifetime of moving and bouncing around, she has finally been afforded the opportunity to plant and take root in her community, where she hopes to continue to grow and flourish alongside her family and their 1-year-old dwarf robo hamster, Fluffy.
On a personal note, Jamie likes to cross-stitch when she has free time, which is not often with 3 children ranging in ages 11-5. So, her ‘free’ time is spent traveling with and sharing new experiences with them. She refers to their little caravan as “road-trippers” as their vacation always includes car travel, allowing her the opportunity to make an adventure out of their ‘getting to the adventure.’
Jamie joined The Holy Rood Collaborative staff in August 2021 as our Facility Operations Coordinator, where she manages the scheduling of ALL our facilities for both staff and ministry needs. If you haven’t already had the opportunity to work with her, feel free to reach out to her and say “Hello!”
