Father Joseph grew up on Long Island, New York, moving to the Boston area for college in 2011. He majored in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Boston University, graduating in 2015. During his time at Boston University, he was very much influenced by the Newman Center there and its community. It was here where he began thinking about the priesthood. Following graduation, he volunteered for one year with the Newman Center, and entered St. John’s Seminary in Brighton the next year.
After two years of philosophical studies at St. John’s, Father Joseph was asked to continue his seminary formation at the North American College in Rome. He received the Baccalaureate in Sacred Theology in 2021 from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas. He is currently pursuing a License in Canon Law at the Pontifical Gregorian University which will be completed in 2024.
Father Joseph was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Boston on May 21, 2022. While still in the midst of his studies, Father Joseph will engage in ministry here in The Holy Rood Collaborative during these summer months.
Father Joseph enjoys reading and talking theology, and good novels as well. He enjoys making and sharing craft coffee, and likes to run, play tennis, and golf.
