The Archdiocese of Boston Holy Hours for Life, Forgiveness and Healing are held annually in parishes in conjunction with the national observance of a Day of Prayer and Penance on January 22. The purpose of the Holy Hours is to bring Catholics together in prayerful solidarity for:

• increased respect for the dignity of human life from conception to natural death
• forgiveness and healing for all those wounded by abortion
• peace for those facing death and terminal illness, and holiness within the Church to transform the culture
